Guardianship and Probate

Our legal fee for guardianship or probate services is $275 per hour for a Partner Attorney and $225 per hour for an Associate Attorney. Guardianship legal fees usually range between $2,900 and $3,500 the first year and approximately $1,000 each year thereafter. Probate legal fees may total between $5,000 and $7,000 (or more) per estate, exclusive of any estate tax return services, depending upon complexity of the estate.

Revocable Living Trust(s)

The following fee schedule may be of help in comparing the cost of a revocable living trust with the cost of a will followed by the probate administration of your estate. Unless otherwise noted during our office visits, this fee schedule reflects our current charges. Please feel free to ask any questions you have concerning these costs:

Single Trust Estate Plan (or Joint Trust without Estate Tax Savings):

Revocable Trust Revisions Hourly Rate

The quoted legal fees include all personal consultations necessary to formulate and sign your estate plan, drafting of all documents, and the designated transfers into your Trust when completed within one year. Complete instructions for transferring other assets into your Trust are also provided.

Additional Estate Planning Services for complex estates or estate plans not finished due to client inactivity within one (1) year of initiation will be billed at the hourly rate.

* County Clerk recording fees; transfer agent fees (mutual funds, securities transfer fees); and automobile title transfer fees are not included.
